This kit is designed as a bolt-in replacement for the standard TD5 gearbox. The overall length matches the original TD5 gearbox setup, using the Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 8HP70 gearbox and torque converter, ensuring proper fitment without major modifications.
Because the drivetrain length remains unchanged, no custom propshafts are required, eliminating the risk of unwanted vibrations and maintaining factory driveline geometry. The result is a clean, OEM-style installation that integrates seamlessly with the vehicle.
Another advantage of this design is that the conversion can be fully reverted back to the original setup at any time.
