CANTCU 8HP transmission Controller

The CANTCU Transmission Controller is the most advanced CAN-based transmission control unit on the market for the 8HPand DCT transmissions. Initially released in 2021, this innovative controller offers unmatched OEM-like drivability, safety features, and easy integration for your custom build.

We have worked closely with CANTCU from the very beginning to develop this solution for the TD5. From day one, our collaboration has focused on building a fully functional and reliable setup, carefully refining every stage of the process together.

This is an ongoing partnership, with continuous collaboration driving further developments and new features. One example of this progress is the integration of JLR shifters, along with other enhancements that continue to expand the system’s capabilities.

*When fitting the Discovery 4 8hp70 Gearbox an initial full flash is needed to convert the transmission software to suit CANTCU usage. Your TCM needs to be shipped in to us for this procedure. We also offer to do the setup of the CANTCU to your vehicle by acessing it remotely once all the instalation is complete ( this can be selected under the buy product menu)

CANTCU 8HP» td5 Standalone Wiring Loom

We can supply a complete plug-and-play wiring loom designed to integrate all the key components required for the TD5 8HP conversion. The harness is engineered for reliability, ease of installation, and seamless communication between the drivetrain systems.
 

The loom integrates the following components:

• CANTCU Controller (mounted near the shifter)

• ZF 8HP Transmission

• BMW F-Series or JLR electronic shifter

• TD5 ECU CAN Bus communication

Installation Requirements

While the harness is designed for straightforward installation and includes comprehensive instructions, proper integration requires intermediate automotive electrical knowledge. Installers should be able to correctly identify and safely connect power, ground, and signal sources within the vehicle.  Please refer to the included fitting guide to determine compatibility with your skill level before installation.
 

Shifter Compatibility

When purchasing this product, please select whether you will be using a BMW or JLR shifter, as the wiring configuration differs between the two. We can also supply the compatible shifters if required ( select when purchasing)
