Td5 head stud conversion kit: Swap out the standard bolts which suffer from stretching especially with tuned engines.
This kit includes - 12x aviation grade studs, nuts and washers
Direct replacement - Studs fit the factory block thread of M11 and are machined with a finer 7/16th UNF top thread for increased pressure. Studs provide the ability to obtain much more accurate torque value as the studs do not twist during tightening like bolts. Because the studs remain stationary during nut tightening, the studs stretch in one axis alone, providing much more even and accurate clamping forces.
The factory studs have a yield strength of 12000lbs, the stud conversion has a yield of 28000lbs
We strongly advise fitting a new high-quality head gasket during as part of the installation.
